I got a call a while back. It was a nice-sounding young man who wanted to have a few pictures taken. Sure, we can do that. Jörn who? I think I made the poor guy spell his name three times for me. Schlönvoigt, alright. We set an appointment, say our goodbyes and all was well. A few minutes later my wife had to explain who he is. Jörn is an actor in the German soap opera Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten. Okay, I’ll admit it: I’d never watched a single episode, but I have now 8-). I did still have to look him up to get a picture of who he is. Wait, whaaat? The guy has more Facebook fans (Jörn’s Facebook page) than I do! Alright, color me impressed.
We had about two days of sunshine and temperatures above 10°C in Hamburg this year. As luck would have it, we managed to get one of them. Our session was going to be about two hours, and should take us to locations that aren’t all too glamorous. We stayed in my studio and on it. The hallway, the shower, the roof. It was super relaxed, and my memory card has rarely filled up with so many great pictures in such a short span of time. It was loads of fun and I am really happy with the results.
For some strange reason, the number of requests to be my assistant sent by women went up dramatically after I published the first picture on my Facebook page.
Thank you to the team at Actors Connection for recommending me.
